What is Hypnotherapy ?
Hypnosis is the state of relaxation of your “conscious” mind (your ego) together with your body, through which you then allow access to your “sub-conscious or unconscious” mind (your higher self) without running interference from your “conscious” mind.

When you allow your mind and body to relax and your concentration is not disturbed or affected in any way by any outside noises or influences, this is commonly known as “a light state of hypnosis”. You may inadvertently achieve this every single day of your life be it that you are travelling on public transport and just gazing out the window, being engrossed in a good book or watching a movie or even when you may be watering the garden or driving home on “automatic pilot” from the office, without second thought as to how you got home. This is a light form of self-hypnosis.
However, you are always in control. When you are in a hypnotic trance state (under hypnosis) you are not asleep and your “conscious” mind is always aware of what you are experiencing and what you are saying. Your hypnotherapist is merely your guide.
