From above and beyond!

First let me ask you, if you believe we receive signs and messages from above and beyond? There’s little sayings that float around in our world that I am sure you would have heard of and a couple that spring to mind are:

“See a penny pick it up, all day long you’ll have good luck” and “when butterflies hover and feathers appear, passed over loved ones and Angels are near”.

Love n  a featherI am a true believer of signs and messages coming from above and beyond and this week I was blessed to receive many of which I would very much like to share them with you! Aside from the many dreams that I have jotted in my journal for future reference, I had this recurring message coming through beginning on Sunday and it all started with me watching the movie “P.S. I Love You” for the umpteenth time. When the theme song played “I Love You Till The End” (click the link to have a listen to the lyrics), the energy shifted around me and Angel bumps tingled in my hair. Three days later I awoke to the same words popping into my awareness “I love you till the end”. Lo n behold the next day, a page that I have liked on Facebook changed it’s name to “I Love You Till The End”. Yesterday morning as I was out walking, the same words came flooding back to me. So I just smiled and accepted the messages from above and beyond for additionally I was also guided to “see only love” in myself and others, and so it is that I do.

cropped-butterfly-0011.jpgAlso on Wednesday morning, I was basking in the precious sunshine on my front deck and this beautiful Monarch butterfly hovered then fluttered away. What is unusual is that butterflies aren’t usually around in winter and with this a smile crossed my lips, for I sensed it was another blessed sign!

rainbowWhile out walking on Thursday, I looked up to see a lovely rainbow and a few steps on I found the first of three coins, with the other two about a metre apart on the path ahead of me. I picked them up and paid them forward to two young girls that happened to be walking beside me, for I have added onto the little ditty above, “pay it forward and share the luck”. Then the next afternoon while walking again, another exquisite 180 degree perfect rainbow appeared before me as I came down the hill.

What do all these signs mean? Well we all have the ability to quiet our conscious mind and tune inwards to receive messages from our Guides and Ascended Masters, passed over loved ones, Angels and God. Whether you choose to accept them or not is up to you. From habit to reality

Do you set expectations on yourself, on others or both? Do you consider them to be a good thing or a not so good thing?

How I see it is, there is nothing wrong with having expectations but be prepared for when it turns into disappointment. For it is how we handle the disappointment that really makes the difference! Disappointment is not something you ever get used to, although some may beg to differ on this.

So the simple lesson from turning expectation into a habit and having it become your reality, is to not make a habit out of it in the first place and remember to expect the unexpected and as a result, you will never be disappointed!

Where does stress come from?

  • Stress is created by your thoughts and anticipation of what your mind believes will happen next and can turn it into anxiety and fear.

What do you gain from allowing stress to take control of you?

  • Stress causes headaches, heart problems, skin conditions, high blood pressure, asthma, arthritis, illness, depression and anxiety and the list goes on.

Where does stress usually show up in your body when it is in control?

  • Your head, heart, on your skin, your chest, your joints, your mind.

Is there such a thing as “good” and “bad” stress?

  • Yes, in fact there is! Good stress is like waiting for the arrival of baby while standing outside of the delivery room or being called into the office and told the great news of a promotion or bonus you’ve worked so hard for. Ultimately there is an end to it. Whereas, bad stress is when you are constantly faced with challenges and there is no relief to that stress or you are unable to relax.

Everyone suffers some form of stress in their lives, be it daily, weekly, occasionally or constantly. So knowing you are not alone is a good thing. Knowing too that you can choose to not suffer from it is a great thing, right?

Weight Loss – High road to success!

I became my own guinea pig and began practicing self-hypnosis together with asking my college buddies to practice different techniques on me around foods I love that were unhealthy and not good for me, exercise that I didn’t love doing, eating behaviors that I’d learnt from a young age, emotional blocks from being called cruel names as a child/teenager, like “ten tonne Tessie” and ” the last of the round people”. Seriously, you might not think it a big deal, but I can assure you this intentional or unintentional taunting from other kids and adults alike left me with a block that no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t quite jump all the way over it. Many times I was sitting on top of the block with my legs dangling down over the other side, but mostly I slipped and fell off the block into what became a cycle of weight loss/weight gain for me, since I first began primary school. Why did this happen? Because my ego and fear kept my mind in control, telling me oh just one more sweet biscuit won’t hurt or hearing the loving words of my parents “eat everything on your plate – remember the starving children of Africa” or taking on board the opinions of others when I’ve started yet another WL program “seen you do this before, don’t know why you bother” and so I stopped listening to my unconscious mind/my higher self or more commonly known as my subconscious mind, which did in fact know what is best for me!

I too have tried every weight loss program known to mankind, and across the years had success too in losing the weight, but ultimately put it all back on again and at times more. Plus multiple exercise regimes that I just didn’t enjoy. As much as I love the woman I have become from the inside out, I made the choice to take this chance and opportunity to change some life long behaviors & challenges that has kept the weight ongoing. It was time for a change at age 53 to seek out a sexy and slimmer size 16 me, feeling lighter, fitter and healthier. This is my goal!

So my journey continues. I have been up to a larger than life size 26/28 weighing in at 146.5kgs many years ago now and vowed I would never return there and so I haven’t but definitely got close a couple of times. This current journey began as a size 24 in January 2015. I am now a 20 and day by day, cm by cm getting closer to my goal of size 16, as I follow my very own winning weight loss combination program.

In simple terms I see existing as just doing and being and taking up space and time with no real passion or purpose to what you are choosing to do in your life or with your life and making excuses and not wanting to take responsibility for why things didn’t work out or go the way you planned.

Whereas living I believe, is going about everything in your life with passion and purpose, and finding out and following what truly makes your heart hammer and your soul sing. Making the most of and treasuring every moment. Doing the absolute best you can even when life lessons steer you onto a different path. Realizing that you are indeed very much alive not just existing, and living your life in the moments not in those of your past or your future but right now.

So, are you living, or are you existing? You only get one shot at this current life, so why not now in this moment change your way of thinking and become determined, re-energized to go on living the rest of your life now with passion and purpose and see what difference there is between living and existing!

Self-talk and its power!

Let me ask you, have you ever found yourself thinking it or speaking it aloud by berating you, putting you down, telling you off, calling you uncomplimentary names, even swearing at yourself? If you have honestly answered “yes” to this question, then I want you to consciously put a STOP to IT, right NOW.

For the more you continue to think and speak this way, the more you are saying you are not worthy, not good enough, not deserving, not entitled and you give permission for others to do the same to you. So have you ever wondered why your wishes, dreams and desires are not coming to fruition, not manifesting, not presenting themselves in abundance into your life?

Let’s try changing your self-talk into the positive and create a new daily mantra, beginning with I AM……….!

I am worthy, I am good enough, I am deserving, I am entitled, I am successful, I am talented, I am whatever I want to be, I am love, I am loving, I am loved, I am lovable, I am open to receiving abundance into my life, I am healthy, I am wealthy, I am truly blessed and without doubt I am filled with gratitude for all that comes to me in abundance.

Work with these, add in all that you want and desire and as you change your thoughts, you will change your life and so watch your wishes become fulfilled!

What’s in a breath?

Have you ever stopped to think about the importance of a breath? Your own breath in fact? Have you ever wondered other than the obvious of course, what a deep breath in and a long breath out can do for you, for your body, for your mind and for your soul?

If you are just a doer – a breather without too much thought or focus on the action and a person who just takes it for granted, then maybe you might just like to think about it in a slightly different light!

The power behind breathing and adding in thought to your breathing can bring about so much relief and healing. With every breath you breathe in, believe that you are breathing in beautiful peaceful, calm and loving energy and with every breath you breathe out, believe you are releasing all the stress, anxiety, fear and worry that you have accumulated throughout your day.

When you concentrate on your breathing and focus on these thoughts, consider it to be an awesome present to yourself for you are giving yourself time, silence, energy, and peace. Even if it is only for a few moments a day. So when you do, know that it truly is a blessing in disguise, and that you have just indulged in a small tranquil dose of “self-hypnosis”. Maybe it is time to stop and reflect and take a good long hard look at yourself and open your eyes to see what is coming into your life, to see what kind of person you have become. For everything you do, say, think, and portray, is exactly what you will attract.

Do you wake up each day and choose what kind of attitude you want to display across the day? Are you respectful, supportive and encouraging to those around you? Do you judge or criticize others? Are you one to complain or be grateful for all that crosses your path, including the lessons that come from the not so great experiences? Is giving without expecting in return something you do or something you wish to do more of? Do you love without condition or are you a fearful soul living with a closed heart?

No matter what you answer to yourself of any of these questions, remember always that what comes into your life is a direct reflection of what you are, the kind of person you portray, your actions, your choices, your attitudes! Become aware of who you are and if you truly love unconditionally the person you have become, you will without doubt attract all that reflects you! For you do indeed attract what you are!

For what purpose do we choose to worry?

Worry is an incredibly powerful state of being, if you allow it to be in control of your life. The verb “worry” according to the Oxford dictionary means:

“Feel or cause to feel anxious or troubled about actual or potential problems”.

So why do we choose worry over faith and trust, when you know only too well what worry can do to  you. Is there such a thing as “healthy worry”?

There are all kinds of worry, that I do understand. The worry over your children or your elderly parents, the worry when faced with illness or death, the worry when you have no job or income, the worry when a relationship is in turmoil etc are all valid reasons to worry, along with millions of others. With every reason to worry, there will always be a challenge in making a choice that is right for you, which ultimately will enable change to come about.

When your mind (your ego) is in control of your worry, it’s very difficult to accept the challenge, to make the choice, to welcome the change. So why not invite and give permission to your unconscious mind (your inner wisdom and higher self) to step in and give your ego the day off and work on turning the day into everyday off. Working with worry is debilitating, so why not resign from worry and free up your life and notice then how incredibly powerful this new state of being is for you.
